Evaporative Emission Control Canister: Service and Repair

Inverted Function Vapor Canister With Encapsulated Purge Solenoid:

INSPECTION
^ Visually check and replace canister if cracked or damaged.
^ Check the filter at the bottom of the canister. If dirty, plugged, or damaged, replace the filter.

REMOVAL
1. Remove the access cover at the left rear wheel well.
2. Disconnect the hoses from canister. Mark the hoses to install on the new canister.
3. Remove the canister.

INSTALLATION
1. Install the new canister.
2. Connect the hoses, making sure the connections are correct.
3. Re-install the access cover.
