Left Side (Front)

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Coolant recovery bottle.
3. Serpentine belt cover and belt.
4. A/C compressor.
5. Right side torque strut.
6. A/C and torque strut mounting bracket.
7. Heat shield.
8. Exhaust crossover pipe at manifold.
9. Exhaust manifold bolts.
10. Exhaust manifold from head.

CLEAN
^ Mating surfaces at cylinder head and manifold.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Exhaust manifold gasket.
2. Exhaust manifold to head.
3. Loosely install manifold bolts.
4. Exhaust crossover pipe to manifold.
Tighten
^ Bolts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lb.).
5. Exhaust manifold bolts.
Tighten
^ Exhaust manifold bolts to 25 N.m (18 ft. lb.).
6. Heat shield.
Tighten
^ Bolts to 10 Nm (90 in. lb.).
7. A/C and torque strut mounting bracket.
Tighten
^ Bolts to 80-110 Nm (59-81 ft. lb.).
8. Right side torque strut.
Tighten
^ Bolts and nuts to 56 Nm (41 ft. lb.).
9. A/C compressor.
Tighten
^ Bolts to 40-54 Nm (30-40 ft. lb.).
10. Serpentine belt and belt cover.
11. Coolant recovery bottle.
12. Negative battery cable.
