Removing And Installing/Replacing Both Windshield Wiper Arms







Remove cover (1).







Unscrew nut (1).


CAUTION!
Do not bend wiper arm during removal (risk of breakage).







Pull off wiper arm (1) with special tool 61 6 060.

Replacement:
Remove wiper blades.







Installation:
Adjust position of wiper arm in rest position (measured between wiper lip and top edge of cowl cover).
1. 38 ± 1.5mm
2. 96 ± 1.5mm

Tighten nut of wiper arm to appropriate torque, 61 61 9AZ. After waiting 15 minutes, tighten nut again to appropriate torque, 61 61 9AZ.
Check position of wiper arm again, repeat adjustment procedure if necessary.

Installation:
Check/adjust contact angle of wiper arms to windshield.
