Replacing Rubber Mounts on Both Tension Struts

Caution:
After assembly, check alignment of front axle.
Always replace both rubber mounts.





Remove tension strut, refer to Control Arm, Service and Repair.

With a press and special tool 31 2 271/272, press rubber mount in and out of tension strut.

Installation:





Rubber mount and tension strut bore free of grease.

Marking on rubber mount points towards marking on the tension strut. Max. torsional tolerance ± 3°.

Installation:





Protrusion (A) equally large.
