Brake Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair

Removing and Installing/Replacing Pressure Sensor DSC
Note: Before beginning work:
^ Switch off ignition.
^ Protect brake system against unauthorized actuation.

After completing work:
^ Purge front axle circuit. Check pressure sensor under pressure for leaks.
^ Pressure sensor check by DSC system: Turn on ignition and firmly depress brake pedal. Warning lamps must not come on any more.





Unlock plug connection (1) and detach.

Release screw (2).

Installation: Tightening torque, refer to Specifications.





Press hydraulic unit away in direction of arrow. Detach pressure sensor with special tool 34 1 290.

Installation:
^ Check sealing surfaces and thread of pressure sensor and of hydraulic unit for damage.
^ Screw in a new pressure sensor immediately after unscrewing the old pressure sensor.
^ Tightening torque, refer to Specifications.
