Front Fender Liner: Service and Repair

51 71 040 Removing And Installing/Replacing Front Left Or Right Wheel Arch Cover

Note:
- For purposes of clarity, illustration shows front wheel removed.
- Front and rear sections of wheel arch cover can be removed separately.







Front section:
Open cover (1).
Pull out plug connection (2).







Loosen screws (1).
Disconnect plug connection on temperature sensor (left) and/or on temperature switch for heated windshield spray jets (right).
Remove wheel arch cover (2).

Replacement:
Remove outside temperature sensor (left).
Remove temperature switch for heated windshield spray jets (right).







Installation:
Ensure wheel arch cover (1) is correctly seated.







Rear section:
Loosen screws (1).
Remove wheel arch cover (2).







Installation:
Ensure wheel arch cover (1) is correctly seated.
