41 00... Arranging Shaped Parts For Cavity Bulkhead

To reduce interior noise, certain areas of the body can have the cavities sealed. To do this, shaped parts are inserted in the cavities. The shaped parts expand to fit the contact faces perfectly by heating the body to approx. 180 °C and holding the temperature for approx. 20 minutes.

Since it is not possible during body repairs to heat the body up and maintain it at temperature for long enough, the following procedure has been defined for this eventuality.
