Heater Control Valve: Service and Repair

Replacing Water Valve For Heater

M52, M54 only:
Remove intake filter housing.


WARNING!
Danger of scalding!
Only perform this work after engine has cooled down.


Water valve (Duo) with auxiliary water pump:







Unlock plug connections (1) and disconnect.
Release hose clamps (2) and detach hoses.
Pull water valve for heater (3) in direction of arrow out of rubber mounts.







Installation:
Ensure guides (1) and (2) are correctly seated.
If necessary, replace rubber mount.

Water valve (Duo) with auxiliary water pump:







Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Release hose clamps (2) and detach hoses.
Pull water valve for heater (3) in direction of arrow out of rubber mounts.







Installation:
Ensure guides (1) and (2) are correctly seated.
If necessary, replace rubber mount.

Water valve (Mono) without auxiliary water pump:







Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Release hose clamps (2) and detach hoses.
Pull water valve for heater (3) in direction of arrow out of rubber mounts.







Installation:
Ensure guides (1) and (2) are correctly seated.
If necessary, replace rubber mount.
