Wheel Speed Sensor: Service and Repair

Removing and Installing/ Replacing ABS Rear Pulse Generator From 9/98

Caution: Refer to "General Data", found in Brakes and Traction Control, Description and Operation.

Remove wheel.





Partially unfasten rear wheel arch trim, pull plug connector (1) out of bracket and disconnect.
Installation: Ensure proper locking of plug connector.





Pull cable with rubber grommets out of brackets and open cable ties.
Installation: Ensure proper seating of rubber grommets and proper routing of impulse sensor cable.





Unfasten socket head cap screw (1) and pull ABS impulse sensor, (2) out of hole.
Installation: Clean hole for impulse sensor and grease with lubricating grease Staburags NBU 12/K or equivalent.
