Replacing Fluid Tank For Windshield Washer System

Remove wheel arch cover at front right top.
Drain fluid tank for windshield washer system.







Release cable strap (1).
Detach ventilation hose (2) and filler neck (3) in direction of arrow from fluid tank for windshield washer system (4).







Unclip hose (1).
Turn windshield washer pump (2) in direction of arrow, pull upwards out of fluid tank for windshield washer system (5) and place to one side.

touring only:
Remove rear window washer pump in same way as windshield washer pump (2) and place to one side.

All:
If necessary, withdraw level switch (4) in direction of arrow from fluid tank for windshield washer system (5) and place to one side.

Release plastic nuts (3).
Remove fluid tank for windshield washer system (5) in direction of arrow.
If necessary, remove fill level gauge and valve for windshield washer system.

Installation:
Make sure hoses are laid without kinks.
Replace seals, strainers of window washer pumps and plastic nuts (3).
Coat seals with antiseize agent.

Cars with headlight cleaning systems only:
Remove washer pump of headlight cleaning system and place to one side.







Installation:
Feed journal (1) into grommet (2).
Replace grommet (2) if necessary.







Unclip hose holder (1) in direction of arrow and remove from filler neck (2).







Remove cover (2) and strainer underneath.
Release plastic nut (3).
Withdraw filler neck (1) in direction of arrow.

Installation:
Replace plastic nut (3).
