Selector Shaft: Service and Repair

Unflange propeller shaft from transmission.





Detach locking clamp.





Withdraw shift rod (1) from shift rod joint (2) and remove disks (3).

Installation:
Grease shift rod pin (4) using suitable grease.
Large contact surface of disks (3) must rest against shift rod joint (2).





Lever spring washer (1) out of groove and push a little towards rear.
Press straight pin (2) upwards or downwards out of shift rod joint and remove shift rod joint.





Installation:
Grease ball of transmission selector shaft using suitable grease.
Replace spring washer (1).

Installation:
Check rubber ring (1) in shift rod joint (2) and replace if necessary.
