Control Arm: Service and Repair

Replacing Left Or Right Control Arm (Basis)

Caution! After assembly, align/adjust front axle.

Remove engine splash guard.





Unfasten nuts (1 and 2).
Remove control arm from front axle support.

Installation:
Tapered spigot and bore both free of grease.
Fit washer (3).
Replace self-locking nut.
Tightening Torque, if necessary brace on hex cap head, screw (1), refer to Suspension Specifications; screw (2), refer to Suspension Specifications.





Press control arm off swivel bearing with special tool 31 2 240.
