Removal and Installation



Removing and Installing Cassette (Condenser For Air Conditioner)

Note: The evaporator for the air conditioner is integrated in this cassette.

Depending on the car model, the individual coolers for steering hydraulics, automatic transmission and engine oil are all installed in the cassette.

Remove fan cowl.
Remove radiator.





Remove lines for power steering and, if necessary, lines for engine and transmission oil cooler.





Installation:
Replace sealing rings.





Draw off refrigerant from A/C system.
Remove lines from air conditioner.
Installation:
Replace sealing rings.
Evacuate and fill A/C system.





Tilt cassette backwards slightly and lift upwards to remove.





Installation:
Note rubber mounts on front wall.





Installation:
Check rubber mounts on left and right sides.





Installation:
Install cassette in left and right retainers and push forwards as far as it will go.





Installation:
Check rubber profile seals.
