Replacing Both Seat Rails on Front Seat (Normal/Manual)

Removing And Installing/Replacing Both Seat Rails On Left Or Right Front Seat (Normal/Manual)

Remove front seat.
Remove seatbelt tensioner.
Remove Bowden cable for longitudinal adjustment.








Unfasten clips from rubber belt (1).

Installation Note: Lock new retainer by bending it with special tool 52 0 050.







Only replace:
Unscrew inside finisher upwards (1) (unclip), lift centre (2) upwards and pull off forwards (3).

Only passenger side:
Remove detent for left/right longitudinal seat adjustment (4).







Only replace:
Unscrew screw. Lift outer finisher backwards/ upwards and pull off forwards.







Unfasten screws.

Installation:
Replace screws (microencapsulation).






Remove spring by pressing down with large screwdriver and pull off left/right tapers (1). Remove seat rails from seat frame.







Unfasten screws and pull seat rails backwards to remove from seat frame.

Installation:
Replace screws (microencapsulation).







Only replace:
Lift out left/right interlock and remove unlocking linkage.
If necessary, replace rubber tape (1).







Only replace:
Disconnect left/right spiral spring and remove.
