Door Lock Cylinder: Service and Repair

51 21 130 Removing And Installing Or Replacing Lock On Left Or Right Front Door

(if necessary with lock cylinder)
Remove door lock.
Service and Repair






Only Version up to 5/96:
Unfasten nuts with washers. Remove locking unit (1) (carrier for outside door handle).

Installation: Install screws with flat surfaces pointing towards one another.







Introduction: ongoing from 5/96:
Unfasten screws (1) and remove locking unit (2) (carrier for outside door handle).







Only replace:
Unlock cover (1) with screwdriver through aperture (2) and remove.







Only replace:
Disconnect Bowden cable (1) from locking unit.
