SUBJECT:
Identity Transfer Kit for CMT 5000VR and CPT 6000VR Phones

MODEL:
E39, E38

Situation:

The new Identity Transfer Kit (P/N 99 00 0 000 817) allows transferring the NAM (Number Assignment Module) programming and repertory memory information (names and phone numbers) from a transceiver diagnosed as defective into a replacement transceiver for CMT 5000VR, CPT 6000VR phones.

Utilizing the equipment eliminates the need for the technician and/or customer to reprogram such information manually in the event of a transceiver replacement.

Important:
Unfortunately, the ESN (Electronic Serial Number) of the transceiver cannot be transferred during the procedure, due to FCC regulations on newer generation equipment. The local cellular carrier has to be contacted to transfer the new ESN number. Also, the customer has to reprogram the voice tags into the memory of the phone.
