Installing Replacement Transmission A4S 270R, A4S 310R
Drain off automatic transmission fluid.

Recycling:
Catch and dispose of escaping transmission fluid.
Observe country-specific waste-disposal regulations.

Caution: Before installing replacement transmission: Always flush oil cooler with lines.

Remove transmission.

Note: Automatic transmission is supplied filled with oil.

Note: After completion of work, check transmission oil level.

Caution:
Use only the approved transmission fluid in this automatic transmission.
Failure to comply with this requirement will result in serious damage to the automatic transmission!





Convert transportation lock (1).

Transmission identification is on nameplate.





Convert lever (2) and retaining bracket (3).

Convert rubber mounts and exhaust suspension.





Convert oil filler pipe. Release screws.





Withdraw oil filler pipe from housing.

Installation:
Check sealing plug (4), replace if necessary.
