Engine

The E46 will use the M52 TU engine in 2.5 liter (323i), and 2.8 liter (328i) displacement variants. These engines provided improved power and torque characteristics with reduced fuel consumption and emissions.

The E 46 comes with long life synthetic oil, which allows extended maintenance intervals. For complete maintenance information, refer to Service Information 00 06 98.
