Fluid Filter - A/T: Service and Repair

Removing and installing oil strainer on valve body





Remove oil sump on main case, refer to Transmission Pan, Service and Repair.
Remove oil strainer.
Unfasten screws with special tool 24 5 180 (socket insert).

Caution: Bolts have inch threads.

Installation:
Check gasket between strainer and valve body.





Mount and bolt oil strainer.
Special tool 24 5 180 (socket insert).

Caution: Only use bolts with inch threads.

Tightening torque, refer to Automatic Transmission/Transaxle, Specifications.
