Heater Core: Service and Repair

Heater Core Removal

- Remove air collector.
- Remove heater controls.
- Remove shelf.




- Loosen nut and place water flange to one side. Carefully blow air into the feed lines to prevent residual cooling water in heater core does not drip onto carpet.
- Unscrew studs.




- Replace O-rings.




- Loosen screw and take off tube with three-way flange.
- Replace O-rings.




- Unscrew bolts.
- Loosen dashboard trim panel at right side of transmission tunnel.
- Lift the bottom of the panel and pull out heater core.
