Ignition Coil: Service and Repair

Replacing Ignition Coil (M73)

Switch off ignition.







Disconnect connections on left ignition coil (1 and 2).







Disconnect connections on right ignition coil (1 and 2).







Remove sealing cap.







Unscrew nuts.
Interrogate fault memory of control unit on Digital Motor Electronics (DME), check fault messages in memory, rectify faults and cancel fault memory.
