Updated MoDiC Software - This IDC supersedes IDC 08 02 96. Which should be removed from your IDC binder and discarded. Version 7.0 Programming supersedes all previous Programming software.

Situation:

New software is available for the BMW MoDiC. MoDiC software does not operate the DIS Service Tester; downloading of this software is through the MoDiC Station only.

Program Highlights

^ MODIC software version 7.0 (programming/encoding) will allow DME variant coding of the following engine control module versions: DME M1.1; M1.2; M1.3; M1.7.

^ MoDiC software version 7.0 (programming/encoding) will allow DME programming of the following engine control module versions: DME M3.1; M3.3.1; M3.3; M5.2 (M73).

At this time not all Engine Control Modules-DME have a basic programmable control module available.

A Preprogrammed Control Module must be ordered through the Parts Department if the following Control Modules require replacement.

^ DME Control (M50, M60, M73) modules may only be programmed one time. Control modules using variant encoding may be encoded up to eight (8) times.

Parts Information

This diskette contains encoding and programming programs only. All diagnostic work should be done with the current diagnostic software.

This software will be sent out via the Automatic Tool Shipment Program. Additional copies may be purchased through your Parts Distribution Center.
