Linked Sequences
The previous software would allow the use of linked sequences (the transmission of a numerical sequence separated by pauses) only from the handset. These linked sequences are useful for a variety of tasks, _ accessing services such as voice mail or transmitting Personal Identity Numbers, for example.
The modified software allows the customer to send linked sequences via the Call Control button on the MFL
and via the Telephone button on the MID, as well as via the handset. Programming the linked sequences must, of course, still be performed at the handset.
Because of an increase in cellular phone fraud, some cellular service providers have recently instituted programs that require the use of a Personal Identification Number (PIN) to place call
Depending on the type of PIN system in use by the provider, it may not be possible to send a PIN via linked sequence.
