41 00 ... Arrangement Of Shaped Parts On Cavity Sealing

To reduce interior noise, cavity sealing is installed in certain areas of the body. For this, appropriate shaped parts are installed in the cavities. When the body is heated to approx. 180 °C and held at this temperature for approx. 20 minutes, these shaped parts expand to form a perfect match with the shape of the contact surfaces.

Since it is not possible during body repair work to heat the body to this temperature and hold it there, a different procedure should be adopted for such cases.
