Front Fender: Service and Repair

41 35 000 Removing And Installing Or Replacing Left Or Right Front Side Panel

Move hood lid into workshop position.
Remove or disconnect following parts:
Inner wheel arch trim
Front turn signals
Front bumper
Body moulding on side panel
Trim on floor assembly
Upper side panel edge guard







Unfasten screws on underside.







Unscrew screw.







Open door.
Unscrew bolts.







Unfasten upper retaining screws on side panel.
Secure hood lid in such a way that windshield and adjacent body sections are not damaged.
Remove screws (1 and 2).
Take offside panel.

Installation:
Fit in side panel and make sure of uniform spacing to door and engine hood.
Coat connection point with sealant (Sourcing Reference BMW Parts Service).
Check setting of hood lid check, adjusting hood lid if necessary.
