Wiper Motor: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove any blower motor components, as needed to allow wiper assembly removal, refer to "Blower Motor", Replace.
3. Remove wiper assembly from vehicle.
4. Mark position of motor shaft to wiper crank linkages for installation reference.
5. Remove motor crank attaching nut, then the motor shaft support attaching nut.
6. Remove motor attaching nuts, then the motor support.
7. Disconnect motor electrical connector.
8. Remove motor attaching screws, then the motor.
9. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Ensure wiper motor and wiper linkage are in park position before tightening motor shaft nut.
b. Connect and run wiper assembly prior to attaching wiper arms to ensure entire assembly is in park position.
c. Adjust blade contact pressure as outlined under "Wiper Blade Contact Pressure, Adjust".
