Replacing Solenoid Valves or Pressure Regulators

Replacing Solenoid Valves and/or Pressure Regulators (A5S 440Z)
(Oil sump removed)






Disconnect cable plugs (1...8) from solenoid valves/pressure regulators.
Remove wiring harness.






Release screws and remove retaining plate (1).

Installation:
Tightening torque, refer to Specifications






Installation:
Install retaining plate (1) with inside curved surface pointing to shift unit.






Note: Arrangement of pressure regulators and solenoid valves:
1 Pressure regulator 1
2 Pressure regulator 4
3 Pressure regulator 3
4 Pressure regulator 2
5 Pressure regulator 5
6 Solenoid valve 1
7 Solenoid valve 2
8 Solenoid valve 3

Withdraw pressure regulator from shift unit.






Installation:
Coat 0-ring (1) with automatic transmission fluid.






Note: Solenoid valves (1) and (2) can be removed after screws have first been released.

Installation:
Tightening torque, refer to Specifications.
