Situation:
The seats on the E31 vehicle feature integrated safety belts, power adjustment systems, and seat heating functions. The complexity of these various systems requires special repair techniques.

Correction:
Under separate cover, we are sending one copy of a VHS-format video tape describing E31 seat repairs. Covered topics include upholstery, seat heaters, seat motors, seat tracks, safety belts, and other general disassembly/assembly information. Viewing this video will help in understanding the repair instructions contained in the E31 repair manual (Group 52).

This video also contains specific instructions relevant to the repair outlined in S.I. 52 02 92 (3558).

Technicians performing E31 seat repairs or the repairs described in the above S.I. should refer to this video tape for a demonstration of the proper repair techniques.
