Starter Motor: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove exhaust assembly, then disconnect heat shields on reversing lever.
3. Remove washer fluid tank to gain access to starter motor attaching bolts.
4. Remove heat shields on intake manifold, then disconnect lines on starter connection point.
5. Remove split pipes on manifolds.
6. Remove upper starter mounting bolt.
7. Remove attaching bracket on engine block, then remove starter motor.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
