Heater Core: Service and Repair

Replacing Heater Core





- Remove complete dashboard.





- Loosen hose clamps on heater hoses (1...3) and pull off hoses.

Note: Blow through heater pipes with compresse4d air carefully to keep coolant out of the passenger compartment when removing the heater core.





- Pull off plugs on both inside temperature sensors.





- Unscrew screws (1).

- Loosen cable strap (2) and retainers (3).

- Take off cover.

Installation:
Check for correct seating of cover to prevent uncontrolled wind noise.





- Loosen screws and take off heater pipes.

Installation:
Replace O-rings.





- Lift out heater core from the right side.
