Starter Motor: Service and Repair
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.2. Remove cap, then disconnect starter motor wiring at fire wall.
3. Remove washer fluid tank, to gain access to starter motor attaching bolts.
4. Remove starter motor upper attaching bolt.
5. Disconnect battery ground lead at right rear seat base frame.
6. Remove carbon canister vacuum hoses, then remove heat shields.
7. Disconnect leads for terminals 30 and 50, then rotate steering wheel against left stop.
8. Remove exhaust pipe hanger attaching nuts necessary to facilitate removal of starter, then position pipes downward.
9. Remove remaining starter mounting bolts, then the starter.
10. Reverse procedure to install.
