Trouble Code 2 (P/N Shift-Lock Solenoid)
LIFTING SOLENOID P/N SHIFT-LOCKExplanation
The lifting solenoid P/N shift-lock is checked completely by the control unit during the initialization phase by temporarily activating it. The following defects can be detected during operation depending on the condition of the lifting solenoid:
- Active: Short to ground, plausibility (driver transistor defective)
- Passive: Short to positive, break
Effect of defect
- Short to ground: - Faulty display, - maximum pressure, - emergency operation.
- Short to positive or break: - fault display.
Possible cause
Wire or winding of the lifting solenoid defective, or driver transistor defective.
Troubleshooting
Activate component and measure signals. Positive is applied at Pin 53 - when active, control unit switches ground to Pin 2.
