SUBJECT: Microfilter for IHKA - Replacement Interval

MODELS: 1991 7 Series (E32) and 8 Series (E31) - All so equipped

8 Series:

General
Information: The replacement interval for the heating/air conditioning microfilter (P/N 64 31 1 390 836 - 7 Series; P/N 64 31 1 383 212 - 8 Series) is at every Inspection 1.

If extreme conditions are encountered (e.g., large amounts of air-borne dust or pollen), the filter may be changed more frequently.

7 Series:

Right-hand side of automatic air conditioning (integrated heating and air conditioning system).

Note: Access to microfilter in E32 vehicles is achieved by removing the filter cover and blower final stage (shaded items in above illustration).

Labor for replacement of microfilter covered by labor allowance for Inspection 1.
