Control Panel

This system is actually made up of two separate climate control systems housed side by side.

There are some components which are shared in both systems. These are:

- Blower and blower speed controls.

- A/C compressor.

- Evaporator.

- Interior air temperature sensor.

- Program buttons for defrosting, air conditioning and recirculation.

Regulation of the systems outputs are controlled by a single control unit. These outputs are based on the various inputs given to the control unit.

Inputs:

- Desired temperature (both sides).

- Desired blower speed.

- Program selected (defrost, air conditioner, recirculation).

- Air distribution (both sides).

- Rear window defogger.

- Interior air temperature.

- Vehicle speed.

- Evaporator temperature.

- Heater core temperature (both sides).

- Engine starting mode.
