Compressor HVAC: Service and Repair

Valve Core Tool:

- Discharge pressure in air conditioner with help of a valve core remover.

Plug:

- Disconnect plug (1) and open wire strap (2).

Compressor Hose Connections:

- Disconnect suction hose (1) and pressure hose (2).
- Insert plugs in open connections immediately.

Compressor Mounting Bolts:

- Unscrew bolts (1) and remove with spacers (2).

Compressor Mounting Bolts:

- Unscrew nut (1).
- Unscrew bolts (2 and 3).
- Take off reinforcement plate (4).
- Remove compressor.


When reinstalling:
- Check O-rings, replacing if necessary.
- Check for sufficient distance between pressure hose and stabilizer.
- Check for sufficient oil in compressor.
- Remove plugs in connection openings only shortly before connection of lines.
- Recharge and check A/C for leaks.
