SUBJECT: Car Key Blanks from HUF
MODELS: E30
Condition: YMOS car key duplicated using HUF key blank.
Complaint: Duplicated key does not fit.
Situation: For some time, the complete car locking system has been supplied by YMOS. If a duplicate key is made for these cars with a key blank from HUF, it will not be possible to operate the ignition lock.
Cause: The duplicated HUF key cannot be inserted far enough into the ignition lock because of the extended stop shoulder (see illustration).
Correction: Grind a relief into stop shoulder as illustrated by YMOS key drawing.
CAUTION: Do not use a grinding wheel/disc etc. over 30 mm (1-1/4 inches) in diameter.
