Ignition Ballast Resistor: Testing and Inspection

Check ballast resistor
a. Disconnect electrical connector from resistor and check continuity between terminals.
b. Resistance should be:
0.6 ohms between voltage feed and coil terminals
0.4 ohms between voltage feed and module terminals
c. If resistance is not within specification, resistor should be replaced.
