Wheel Bearing Housing and Wheel Bearing Unit Assembly Overview
1 Wheel Bearing Housing
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Wheel Bearing Housing ] Wheel Bearing Housing.
2 Nut
• Always replace if removed.
3 Bolt
4 Bolt
• 5 Nm
• For adjusting track constants "S".
• Always replace if removed.
5 Nut
• Always replace if removed
• 50 Nm
• Self-locking
6 Ball Bearing
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Wheel Bearing Unit ] Wheel Bearing Unit.
7 Wheel Hub
• Ejecting and pressing in, refer to => [ Wheel Bearing Unit ] Overhaul.
8 Bolt
• 200 Nm + 180° turn
• Always replace if removed.
• Always note the tightening sequence when loosening or tightening the collar bolt. Refer to => [ Drive Axle Outer Joint Collar Bolt, Loosening and Tightening ] Description and Operation.
9 Bolt
• 45 Nm
• On the RS 6: 50 Nm
10 Brake Shield
11 Bolt
• 10 Nm
12 Wheel Speed Sensor
13 Bolt
• 8 Nm
14 Nut
• 110 Nm
• Self-locking
• Always replace if removed.
• After loosening threaded connection of track control arm to wheel bearing housing, adhesive residue must be removed on thread of linkage stub.
15 Nut
• 110 Nm
• Self-locking
• Always replace if removed.
• After loosening threaded connection of guide control arm to wheel bearing housing, adhesive residue must be removed on thread of linkage stub.
16 Control Arm
17 Guide Link
18 Cap Bolt
• 80 Nm + 90° turn
• Always replace if removed.
19 Bolt
• 70 Nm
• Always replace if removed.
20 Drive Axle
