Outer Rear Belt Guide II

The outer rear belt guide II can only be removed in conjunction with the partition grille bracket.

Belt guide II and partition grille bracket can only be separated when removed.

Removing

CAUTION!
Observe safety precautions for work on airbags.

- Disconnect battery ground wire.

- Remove the rear bench seat. Refer to => [ Bench Seat ] Bench Seat.

CAUTION!
Before handling any airbag units (for example, when disconnecting the connector), the person handling them must "discharge static electricity". For example, by briefly touching the door striker pin.

- Remove side airbag. Refer to => [ Rear Seat Side Upholstery ] Rear Seat Side Upholstery.

- Remove luggage compartment side trim. Refer to => [ Luggage Compartment Side Trim ] Luggage Compartment Side Trim.

- Remove bolts - 2 - (quantity: 2).





The seat belt is not shown in the illustration for clarity reasons.

- Remove bracket - 3 - with belt guide II - 4 - from belt guide - 1 -.

- Unclip retaining tab - arrow A - on bracket - 2 -.





- Tip belt guide II - 1 - out in - direction of arrow -.

- Unclip retaining hook - arrow B - at the same time.

- Remove bracket - 2 - from belt guide II - 1 -.

Installation

Belt guide II and partition grille bracket must be pre-assembled to install. It is not possible to assemble in vehicle.

- Position belt guide II - 1 - on bracket - 2 - as shown in illustration.





- Tip belt guide II - 1 - in - direction of arrow - and guide retaining hook - arrow B - on bracket - 2 - into cut-out - arrow A - on belt guide II - 1 -.





- Press belt guide II - 1 - against bracket - 2 - until retaining tab - arrow - on belt guide II engages.





Installation is in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

CAUTION!

Before handling any airbag units (for example, when disconnecting the connector), the person handling them must "discharge static electricity". For example, by briefly touching the door striker pin.

Ensure that electrical connections are pushed in as far as stop and engage with a click.

- Switch on ignition.

CAUTION!
Connect the battery with the ignition switched on. Pyrotechnic components could deploy after connecting the battery if they were not repaired correctly. Individuals must not be inside the vehicle when connecting the battery.

- Connect battery ground cable with ignition switched on.

- If Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) (K75) indicates a fault after installation, DTC memory must be checked, deleted and checked again.
