1 Instrument Panel Central Tube

2 Steering Column Mounting Bracket with Centering Pins

3 Bolt

• 23 Nm

4 Bolt

• 9 Nm

• Clip the support - 6 - onto the steering column before installing.

5 Strut

6 Support

• Clip onto the steering column.

7 Bolt

• 20 Nm in vehicles without a knee airbag mount.

• 23 Nm in vehicles with a knee airbag mount.

8 Knee Airbag Mount

• Installed depending on the country version.

9 Bolt

• 23 Nm

10 Bolt

• 8 Nm

11 Cover

• Replace if damaged.

12 Bolt

• 8 Nm

13 Bolt

• 33 Nm

• Always replace after removal.

• Always clean the threaded holes for the bolt (e.g., with a thread cutter).

14 Bolt

• 23 Nm

15 Support

• Secured on the pedal assembly and steering column.

16 Bolt

• 23 Nm

17 Nut

• 5 Nm

18 Power Steering Gear

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Power Steering Gear ] Power Steering Gear.

19 Bolt

• 33 Nm

20 Intermediate Shaft

• Secure the intermediate shaft on the power steering gear input shaft. Refer to => [ Power Steering Gear Assembly Overview ] Power Steering Gear Assembly Overview.

21 Seal

• Always replace after removal.

22 Clamp

• Always replace after removal.

• Tension using hose clamp pliers (V.A.G 1275).

23 Boot

• Replace if damaged.

24 Clamp

• Always replace after removal.

• Tension using hose clamp pliers (V.A.G 1275).

25 Bolt

• 3 Nm

• Insert with locking compound.

• Can only be replaced as a unit.
