High Pressure Sensor / Switch: Testing and Inspection

A/C Pressure/Temperature Sensor, Checking Pressure Signal

• The refrigerant line cannot be checked when the A/C Pressure/Temperature Sensor (G395) is removed. The Climatronic Control Module (J255) does not switch on the A/C compressor. Refer to vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051/ under "Guided Fault Finding".

Preparation

- Remove the headlamps.

Test Sequence





- Disconnect electrical connector - A -.

• The illustration shows the bumper and radiator air duct removed.

Routing for the 3-pin connector on the A/C Pressure/Temperature Sensor - A -.

1. Ground

2. Signal output - via the A/C system LIN Bus databus system to the Climatronic control module

3. Terminal 75 (positive)

• The A/C compressor (A/C Compressor Regulator Valve (N280)) is not actuated when the connector - A - is disconnected.

• The A/C pressure/temperature sensor is an electronic control module.
