A/C Compressor Drive Shaft

The A/C compressor drive shaft can be removed only together with the A/C compressor. Refer to V8 => [ Compressor ] or V10 => [ Compressor ]. Compressor

• Prior to installing the drive shaft - A -, check the grommet - E - for damage; replace a damaged or stretched grommet - E -.





• On vehicles with a V10 engine, the clamp on the grommet - E - can be fastened with the Locking Pliers (VAS 6199) when the engine is installed.

• The boot - E - is secured against slipping by the clamp on the power steering pump flange.

• After installing the driveshaft - A -, check the boot - E - installation position.
