Removal and Installation

Air Intake Unit

Removing





- Switch off ignition.

- Remove the luggage compartment liner.

- Disconnect the electrical connector - D -.

- Remove bolts - B -.

- Remove the air intake unit - C -.

Installing





Installation is done is reverse order, observe the following:

- Check the seal - A - in the air intake unit - B - for damage and to ensure it is installed correctly.

- Check the grommets - A - on the A/C unit and on the rear of the plenum chamber for damage and to ensure they are installed correctly.





- Check the water drain - E - for damage and deposits and clean it if necessary. Refer to => [ Water Drain Hose ] Water Drain Hose.

- Place the air intake unit - C - on the rear of the plenum chamber.

- Tighten the bolts - B -.

• Tightening specification: 9 Nm.

- Install the luggage compartment liner.

After finishing the repairs, perform the following work on the Climatronic Control Module (J255) using Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051/ in the "Guided Fault Finding" function:

- Check the DTC memory and erase any malfunctions shown.

- Perform the basic setting.

- Perform the output diagnostic test mode.
