01 Engine does not start in extremely cold weather
Engine does not start in extremely cold ambient temperatures.
Technical Background
If a customer uses the vehicle mainly for short trips during the winter months, it is possible for an excessive amount of condensed water to collect in the rear muffler. Once the condensed water level in the muffler reaches a certain point, it is possible for this water to run into the exhaust pipe, freeze overnight and prevent the engine from starting.
Production Solution
Rear muffler redesigned as of MY 2009.
