Condition
This Required Vehicle Update (RVU) is in effect for 15 months from date of publication. After that date, this RVU will expire and no longer be in effect.
Vehicle must meet ALL of the following criteria.
1. Procedure is valid only for vehicles that show the IS code in the OTIS View Campaign inquiry screen on the day of repair.
2. Vehicle must be within the Limited New Vehicle Warranty.
3. Procedure must be performed within the allotted time frame stated in this Technical Service Bulletin.
Procedure must also be performed on applicable vehicles in Dealer inventory.
This RVU has been proactively released to prevent the following condition from occurring in the vehicle.
On Audi A4 vehicles with 2.0L TFSI engine that are within the affected VIN range, there is the possibility that a retaining clip on the fuel supply hose can move and because of this. Therefore, it can no longer be ensured that the hose is secured. This condition is not known to cause fuel leakage.

Service
Carefully pull off the engine cover from the retaining pins. Do not pull off the engine cover abruptly, or only on one side.
^ Replace the retaining clip (see arrow). The new retaining clip has two hose brackets, and one remains unused. The fuel hose must be clipped in using the right bracket (in direction of travel).
When installing, please note the following concerning the engine cover:
^ Position the engine cover (noting the oil filler neck and oil dipstick) on the engine.
^ Press the engine cover in the rubber grommets using both hands.
