Right coolant Pipe, removing and installing





Special tools and equipment
^ Support bar 10-222 A
^ Shackle 10-222 Al 2
^ VAS 5024 A
^ Special tool T40045 (6.5 mm plastic pads for edges of wing)

Removing

Note: All cable ties unfastened or cut open on removal are to be re-attached in same position on installation.

- Drain off coolant.





- Remove bolts (arrows) at stop for torque reaction support.

Note: Leave torque reaction support stop in position.





- Loosen nut at bottom -1- of right engine mount by a few turns.

Note: Ignore item -2-.





- Remove rear engine cover (arrows).





- Remove front engine cover (arrows -1- and -2-).





- Remove air cleaner cover -2-.
- Remove air duct -1

Note: Pull out clips (arrows) using pry lever 80-200.





- Disconnect connector -3- at Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister purge regulator valve -N80- item -2-.
- Detach solenoid valve from holder.
- Disconnect connector -4- at mass air flow sensor.
- Turn hose -1- to secondary air pump counter-clockwise and detach.
- Detach air hose -5- at mass air flow sensor.
- Remove bolt (arrow).
- Remove air cleaner housing with mass air flow sensor.





- Detach air hose from throttle valve control module (arrow).





- Disconnect air hose (arrow) to secondary air system combination valves.





- Take connectors -1- to -4- out of holder on right of bulkhead.
- Move wires clear.

Note: To stop tight engine lifting eye and shackle from pressing against fuel rail when lifting engine, a suitable packing must be used (e.g. nuts, washers ...) to fill gap between engine lifting eye and shackle.





- Attach shackle 10-222 A12 to right rear engine lifting eye.
- When doing so, fill gap between shackle 10-222 A12 and engine lifting eye with packing -1- as shown.
- Remove rubber seal at fender mounting edges.





- To stop support bar from damaging edges of fenders, insert special tool T40045 on both side between fender mounting edge and stationary panel beneath.





- Position support bar 10-222 A on fender mounting flange.
- Engage shackle 10-222 A12 at spindle of support bar 10-222 A.
- Lift engine slightly with spindle of support bar.





- Remove upper coolant hose (arrow) from radiator.





- Remove bolts -1 -and -2-.
- Unfasten hose clamps (arrows) and remove right coolant pipe from coolant hoses.

Installing
Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

^ Re-attach aft cable ties at same location on installation.
^ Secure all hose connections with standard hose clamps; Refer to Part Supplier





- Allow stop for torque reaction support to settle on rubber buffer for torque reaction support and tighten bolts (arrows) to 28 Nm.
- Fill with coolant.
