Pilot Bearing: Service and Repair

Dual-mass flywheel pilot needle bearing, removing and installing

Special Tools and Equipment





^ 3264 bearing driver





^ 1 - Kukko 21/7 interior extractor
^ 4 - Kukko 22/1 support

Procedure
Transmission removed
- Remove clutch pressure plate.





- Pull out needle bearing using Kukko 21/1 and Kukko 22/1.





- Drive needle bearing into flywheel using 3264 bearing driver.
^ Installation depth, Refer to Transmission and Drive train.

Needle bearing installation depth -2- :





- To measure the installation depth, place a metal ruler onto plastic ring -1- of dual-mass flywheel.
^ Measurement x = 0.5 mm.

Note: Plastic ring is sensitive to hits. If the plastic ring is damaged, dual-mass flywheel must be replaced.
