Notes:
^ Make sure that the vehicle is completely level before checking the gear oil level. Checking is best performed with the vehicle over an inspection pit or on a 4 column lifting platform.
^ It is essential to observe the specified of/ level; the transmission is extremely sensitive to over filling.

Work procedure
- Perform short test drive to increase gear oil temperature to approximately 60° C.
- Switch off engine and allow gear oil to settle in transmission housing for 5 minutes.





- To check gear oil, unscrew oil filler plug -arrow-.
- Check oil level using improvised tool, e.g. a bent wire.
- Specification: Oil level 8.5 mm below lower edge of oil filler hole
- Top up gear oil if necessary.

Note: If gear oil is added by the Service department, the oil level can be topped up to the lower edge of the oil filer hole. However, 0. 2 liters must then be extracted in order to attain the correct oil /ever.

- Replace oil filler plug.
- Tighten the new oil filler plug.





Tightening torque
