Center And Rear Muffler, Separating
- A separating point has been provided in the separating pipe for individual replacement of the center or rear muffler.
- Separating point is marked by a depression around the circumference of the exhaust pipe.

Special Tools and Equipment







- VAG1523A body repair saw
- Protective glasses


WARNING!
Wear protective glasses.







- Using VAG1523A body repair saw, cut exhaust pipe at separating point (arrow) at right angle.
- When installing, center double clamp on separation cut.







- Install double clamps so that the bolt end (arrows) does not project over lower edge of double clamp.
- Align exhaust system tension-free.
- Align rear muffler horizontally.
- Tighten double clamp bolts evenly to 40 Nm.
