Starter, Removing and Installing

WARNING!
Before working on electrical system, disconnect battery Ground (GND) strap.

NOTE:
- Obtain radio code before disconnecting battery.
- Be sure to activate vehicle features (radio, clock, electric window regulator, engine) when the battery is re-connected.

Vehicles with 6-cylinder engine

Removing
- Generator removed. Service and Repair







- Unbolt line for terminal B+ -2-.
- Disconnect connector for terminal 50 -1-.
- Disconnect insulator from B+ connection of starter.







- Unbolt Ground (GND) wire -1- from right engine mount.
- Remove starter securing bolts (arrows) from transmission side, and remove starter.

Installing
Installation is the reverse of removal.
